Weekend 4- Sevens/ SCUBA/ Hospital Visit

Thursday afternoon, there was a parade in Downtown Wellington of the many Sevens teams. Included in the parade was an Austin Powers Impersonator riding Star Trek's "The Enterprise", a Tom Jones impersonator, and a variety of other floats and acts. Sevens is a version of shortened rugby, using only 7 players instead of 15 and with only two- seven minute halves. Tournaments, due to the shortened nature of the games, can be conducted in a weekend. The Wellington Sevens Tournament concluded, with New Zealand winning against Fiji, just a few hours before I was brought in a Taxi to the hospital. The final score was a crushing 24-7.

The overwhelming favorites, New Zealand, at the tail end of the parade. The crowd, as this float went past, would follow the float for the remainder of the parade.
